Project Overview

The Sotetsu Grand Fresa Saigon is part of the Japanese Sotetsu hotel group’s presence in Vietnam, with brand specifications consistent with the parent group’s Japanese hospitality positioning. Projects in this segment typically pair Japanese-design-language specifications with the regional supply chain Goodrich operates across SEA, so brand standards set in Japan can be realised reliably on the ground in Ho Chi Minh City.

Goodrich Global supplied upholstery fabric across the property.

Goodrich Specification

Contract-grade upholstery fabric was specified for guest-room and public-area soft furnishing throughout the property. The specification covered abrasion-resistance ratings appropriate to hospitality use — Wyzenbeek 100,000+ for guest-room banquette and chair upholstery — alongside fire compliance and the visual quality consistent with the Sotetsu brand standard. Contract-grade fabric is engineered to hold colour, weave integrity, and appearance through the cleaning cycles and continuous use a hotel imposes, where a domestic-grade textile would pill, fade, or fail at the seams within a season.

Goodrich’s regional capability — operating through both Singapore and Vietnam offices via the Sangetsu Goodrich Vietnam relationship — supports Japanese brand standards across regional projects. The Sangetsu craftsmanship heritage makes Japanese-aesthetic hospitality specifications straightforward for project teams to deliver and reorder consistently, which matters when a property phases its refurbishment or expands its room count.

Project Outcome

The Sotetsu Grand Fresa Saigon fabric specification is in operational service, standing up to the wear and cleaning regime of a working hotel. The contract-grade textiles keep guest rooms and public areas looking consistent across the property, holding the brand standard from one banquette and chair to the next. The project demonstrates Goodrich’s regional capability and the value of the Sangetsu group connection, supporting Japanese hospitality brands across SEA with specifications grounded in Japanese manufacturing tradition.
