Project Overview

The Starts COCORO office in Ho Chi Minh City supports a Japanese-affiliated commercial occupier with specifications drawing on Japanese-aesthetic interior design language. Japanese-affiliated occupiers in Vietnam often specify materials with explicit Japanese-craft references, served by the regional Sangetsu Goodrich supply chain, which keeps that authenticity reliably available in-market.

Goodrich Global supplied carpet tile across the office.

Goodrich Specification

Carpet tile was specified across open-plan and meeting-room zones, with pattern and colour coordinated to the Japanese-aesthetic design language. The Goodrich carpet tile range covers refined patterns and considered palettes appropriate to such interiors, with Sangetsu and equivalent Japanese-manufacturing-tradition references available within the standard specification. Beyond the aesthetic fit, carpet tile brings practical advantages to a working office: acoustic absorption that calms an open floorplate against keyboard, conversation, and circulation noise, and modular replaceability that lets worn or stained tiles be swapped individually rather than recarpeting a whole zone.

The modular format also lends the floor flexibility over time: as the occupier reconfigures desks or absorbs growth, tiles can be lifted to access under-floor services and relaid without disturbing the wider scheme, which suits the way a working office evolves between fit-out cycles.

The specification was delivered through Sangetsu Goodrich Vietnam, which supported the project execution chain with regional supply and installation capability. That meant the Japanese-referenced product could be procured, laid, and serviced locally, without the lead-time risk of importing finishes piece by piece.

Project Outcome

The Starts COCORO office specification is in operational service, holding both its appearance and its acoustic function across daily use. The project illustrates the value of the Sangetsu group connection, supporting Japanese-affiliated commercial occupiers across SEA with specifications grounded in Japanese craft and manufacturing tradition.
