Project Overview

The retail outlet at Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), Malaysia is part of Kuala Lumpur’s premier mixed-use commercial development, with retail tenancies operating to the high specification standards expected of TRX’s positioning in the Malaysian retail and commercial real estate market.

Goodrich Global supplied digital print wallcovering across the retail interior.

Goodrich Specification

Digital print wallcovering was specified for storefront and feature wall positions, supporting the retail operator’s brand language with custom imagery at architectural scale. The print specification covers fire compliance, durability under continuous customer-and-staff contact, and the visual fidelity premium retail tenants require for brand expression — sharp resolution and accurate colour reproduction that carry the brand convincingly under the bright, often directional lighting premium retail floors use to draw the eye.

Digital print wallcovering also supports retail operators’ brand-refresh cycles particularly well: campaign imagery, seasonal programmes, and brand-language updates can be applied through wallcovering refresh without disturbing the underlying retail fit-out. That separation of the decorative layer from the fixed construction lets a TRX tenant keep pace with its visual merchandising calendar while protecting the original tenancy investment. For a flagship address where presentation standards are scrutinised, the ability to refresh the storefront image quickly, cleanly, and without prolonged closure is a genuine operational advantage.

Project Outcome

The retail outlet at TRX wallcovering specification is in operational service. The project demonstrates Goodrich’s capability to support premium Malaysian retail with custom digital print wallcovering specifications, combining brand-grade visual quality with the durability and refresh-friendliness retail tenancies depend on.
