Project Overview

This Kuala Lumpur F&B project supports a Malaysian restaurant concept with specifications addressing the durability, cleanability, and brand-atmosphere requirements F&B interiors face. Malaysian F&B specification combines tropical-climate considerations — humidity and occasional moisture exposure — with the visual quality and operational durability commercial F&B requires.

Goodrich Global supplied wallcovering across the restaurant interior.

Goodrich Specification

Wallcovering specification covered the primary wall surfaces with fire-compliant, durable, easy-clean vinyl wallcovering. Cleaning-chemistry compatibility is a particular F&B consideration: kitchen-adjacent walls and dining-area perimeter walls both face cleaning regimes more aggressive than typical commercial wallcovering specifications, with grease, food contact, and frequent wipe-downs that would dull or strip a lesser finish. A purpose-specified vinyl wallcovering tolerates this routine while holding colour and pattern across large wall runs, keeping the dining room looking maintained rather than worn. Fire compliance is equally important in a restaurant setting, where the wallcovering shares the space with cooking and service operations, and a backed vinyl construction also masks minor substrate movement that humidity can induce in the tropics.

For Malaysian F&B operators, Goodrich’s regional office in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Kuching) supports project execution with local supply, installation, and after-service relationships — useful where a busy operator needs quick reordering and minimal disruption during refits, and where any expansion of the concept should match the original specification exactly.

Project Outcome

The Kuala Lumpur F&B wallcovering specification is in operational service. The project illustrates Goodrich’s regional capability across the Malaysian F&B market, matching a climate- and cleaning-appropriate wallcovering to the operational realities of a working restaurant.
