Residential
Day & Night Curtains at Lorong Gambir Residence
Project Overview
The Lorong Gambir Residence is a private home in Indonesia where the window treatments were a defining element of the interior scheme. The brief focused on day and night curtains that could balance daylight control, privacy and a soft, considered aesthetic across the living spaces, adapting to the rhythm of the household.
Goodrich Global supplied the fabric for the day and night curtains in this residence.
Goodrich Specification
Fabric was specified for a layered day and night curtain arrangement, pairing lighter sheer-style drapery for diffused daytime light with heavier fabric for privacy and light exclusion after dark. The sheer layer softens strong tropical sun and preserves an open feel by day, while the denser layer draws across in the evening for rest, privacy and glare control.
This two-part system gives residents flexible command of atmosphere throughout the day and night, and the quality and hand of the chosen fabrics bring warmth, depth and a tailored finish that anchors each room within the wider interior scheme while adding a measure of acoustic softness.
Project Outcome
The completed curtains deliver both practical light management and an elegant softness that anchors the residence’s interior, allowing the occupants to shift each space from bright and open to private and restful with ease. The layered scheme adds depth and refinement, making the windows a considered feature rather than an afterthought.
Goodrich Global supplies fabric for drapery and soft furnishings to residential and design clients across Indonesia, supported by a wide collection and expert guidance on layered window treatments.
