Residential
Condiminium @ Tampines Arc, Singapore
Project Overview
This project covered a residential unit at the Tampines Arc condominium in Singapore, where the interior scheme called for soft floor finishes to add warmth and comfort to the living spaces. The owners sought a more enveloping, homely feel than hard flooring alone could give, with surfaces that would make the apartment feel relaxed and inviting for everyday family life.
Goodrich Global supplied carpet, including a rug element, for the project.
Goodrich Specification
Carpet and rugs are a natural fit for residential interiors, introducing underfoot comfort, sound absorption and a sense of cosiness that hard flooring cannot match. In an apartment setting a rug also helps to define and anchor a living or sleeping zone, layering texture and colour over the base flooring and giving the room a clear focal arrangement around which furniture can be grouped. It is a flexible way to add character without permanent works.
Acoustically, carpet dampens footfall and ambient noise, a welcome benefit in a multi-storey condominium where quiet, restful rooms are valued and sound can otherwise carry between hard surfaces and neighbouring units. The soft finish also adds insulation underfoot for everyday comfort and a gentler surface for children and family use, while a quality carpet construction resists matting and keeps its look through regular household traffic. Layering a rug over the base flooring is also an easy way to update the room’s palette in future, letting the owners refresh colour and texture without disturbing the underlying finish.
Project Outcome
The finished interior gained a comfortable, well-insulated feel that suits everyday family living. Goodrich Global supplies a broad range of carpets and rugs for residential and hospitality projects across Singapore, helping designers balance comfort, acoustics and aesthetics.
