Residential
Jaime Chua Residence, Singapore
Project Overview
The Jaime Chua Residence is a private home in Singapore where the bedroom interior called for refined wall finishes to create a calm, well-appointed personal space. A sleeping room rewards quiet, enveloping surfaces over the flatness of a plainly painted wall, and the brief reflected that ambition, treating the bedroom as a retreat within the wider home.
Goodrich Global supplied Premierwall and Goodwall wallcoverings for the project, dressing the bedroom walls in keeping with the home’s design intent.
Goodrich Specification
The Premierwall and Goodwall ranges offer a breadth of textures and tones that let a bedroom be finished with depth and warmth. Their consistent colour and subtle surface relief help establish the restful, considered atmosphere appropriate to a private sleeping space, with light falling softly across the wall rather than reflecting off a uniform painted plane. The result reads as crafted and intentional rather than utilitarian, lending the room a sense of quiet luxury.
As vinyl-faced wallcoverings, both ranges conceal minor wall imperfections and resist everyday marks at hand height, behind the headboard and around furniture. In Singapore’s persistently humid climate they hold their appearance well over time, wiping clean and retaining colour without the fading and patchiness that affect simpler finishes, and shrugging off the moisture that can lift weaker materials at the edges. That durability keeps the room looking immaculate with very little ongoing maintenance.
Project Outcome
The wallcoverings give the bedroom at the Jaime Chua Residence a tailored, comfortable backdrop that enhances the wider home and elevates the everyday experience of the room. Goodrich Global maintains an extensive residential wallcovering portfolio, helping homeowners and designers achieve personalised finishes with lasting durability and straightforward upkeep.
