Project Overview

The Wintastar Service Apartment project supports a Chinese serviced-apartment development with specifications combining residential interior quality and the operational durability the service-apartment format requires. Service apartments operate as hybrid hospitality-and-residential properties, so their specifications must accommodate higher-cycle housekeeping than pure residential while still delivering the home-feeling visual quality residents expect over longer stays.

Goodrich Global supplied wallcovering, flooring, and fabric specifications across the property.

Goodrich Specification

The integrated specification covered three product families across the development:

  • Wallcovering: vinyl wallcovering across residential-unit and common-area positions, with fire compliance, durability, and the visual quality consistent with premium service-apartment branding. Its wipe-clean face withstands the frequent cleaning a shared property demands.
  • Flooring: residential-grade flooring across unit interiors, with vinyl plank, engineered timber, or carpet specifications matched to each room’s function and traffic, balancing underfoot comfort with wearability.
  • Fabric: contract-grade fabric for soft-furnishing applications across the development, carrying the abrasion and fire performance shared, high-turnover interiors demand while retaining a residential look and feel.

Goodrich’s Chinese operations through Sangetsu Goodrich China, with its Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Wujiang offices and gallery, handled the Chinese-market project execution chain.

Project Outcome

The Wintastar Service Apartment specification is in operational service. The project illustrates Goodrich’s regional capability across China, where Sangetsu Goodrich China operates as a parallel supply-and-installation chain, supporting Chinese service-apartment, hospitality and commercial work with the same Sangetsu group product range available across the SEA region. The coordinated, multi-product specification shows how a single supplier can align wall, floor and soft-furnishing finishes to one durability and design standard, simplifying procurement and ensuring the finishes work together both visually and in performance terms across the development’s longer-stay interiors.
