Commercial
Co-Working Space, Singapore
Project Overview
This Singapore co-working space is part of the local market’s expanding flexible-workspace sector — operators serving member companies with workspace, meeting room, and event-space programming under monthly-or-shorter membership models. Co-working specifications combine higher-density occupancy than traditional corporate offices, faster refresh cycles, and member-experience standards that influence retention directly.
Goodrich Global supplied acoustic wallcovering across the open-plan and meeting-room zones.
Goodrich Specification
Acoustic wallcovering was specified to manage reverberation in the open-plan member workspace, in concert with carpet and ceiling treatment. The hard-surface, industrial-aesthetic interiors common in modern co-working — exposed slabs, glazing, and minimal soft furnishing — create acoustic problems unless absorption is engineered in across the surface palette, and unchecked reverberation makes calls and concentrated work difficult in a shared floor. Acoustic wallcovering delivers dual-function performance — a decorative wall finish plus sound absorption — at commercial-grade durability, addressing the acoustic brief without surrendering wall area to standalone panels. In a flexible workspace, where the same floor must serve quiet focused work, calls, and collaboration at once, that absorption directly supports the experience members are paying for and influences whether they renew.
The specification was integrated with the operator’s design language across the property, with consistent panel detailing and a coordinated colour palette across the workspace zones, so the acoustic treatment reads as part of the brand rather than a bolt-on remedy. The commercial-grade construction also stands up to the faster refresh cycles and higher handling that flexible workspace sees relative to a conventional office.
Project Outcome
The co-working space specification is in operational service. The project illustrates Goodrich’s capability to support flexible-workspace operators with acoustic specification that addresses member-experience requirements alongside the visual design brief.
