Wyndham Garden Sukhumvit 42 – Mock Up Rooms
Project Overview
This project involved the mock-up rooms for Wyndham Garden Sukhumvit 42 in Bangkok, Thailand. Hotel mock-up rooms serve as the reference standard for an entire property’s guest accommodation, so their finishes must demonstrate both the intended aesthetic and the durability required across the rooms that follow.
Goodrich Global supplied Widewall Timbre, Widewall Vision and Widewall Victory wallcoverings for the project, providing the wall finishes within the sample rooms.
Goodrich Specification
Three Widewall collections were specified for the mock-ups. Widewall Timbre, Widewall Vision and Widewall Victory are wide-width wallcoverings, a format that limits seams across guest-room walls for a smooth, continuous finish and fewer vulnerable joins where edges might lift in Bangkok’s humid climate. Deploying several Widewall lines together allowed the design team to test and present different textures and tones within a consistent, durable system suited to repeatable hotel roll-out.
Because the mock-up sets the benchmark for every room that follows, the specification had to prove not only how each finish looks but how it performs against the brushing-past, luggage contact and repeated cleaning of guest occupancy. The Widewall ranges’ commercial-grade, wipeable surfaces answer that test, while the wide format also simplifies installation and future matching across a full hotel order. Presenting several ranges side by side also helped the operator and designers weigh texture, tone and durability together before committing to the full order. By drawing on these Goodrich Global Widewall ranges, the mock-up rooms could establish a refined, hard-wearing wall standard that the wider hotel could confidently adopt across its guest accommodation.
Project Outcome
The mock-up rooms gain polished, contract-grade wall finishes that set a clear benchmark for the Wyndham Garden property. Goodrich Global supplies its Widewall wallcovering ranges to hospitality projects across Thailand and the region, supporting consistent, scalable specification from sample room to full hotel.
