Scion Pomona: Fruit and Botanical Fabrics and Wallpaper in Singapore

Pomona is a joyful new fabric and wallpaper collection from Scion, named after the Roman goddess of fruitfulness and abundance. Inspired by British greenhouses and the wildlife within them, it is full of ripening fruit, florals, hares, butterflies and doves, alongside checks, stripes and geometrics to tie everything together. It also includes Scion’s first statement mural wallpaper. Goodrich Global now offers Pomona fabrics, weaves and wallpaper in Singapore.

About Pomona

Scion is the contemporary British brand within Sanderson Design Group, known for its wit, warmth and colourful, characterful designs. Pomona continues the story Scion began with its Oakham collection, carrying forward its British character with a more evolved palette and more texture.

Scion’s lead designer, Claire Greenfield, describes Pomona as a natural sister to Oakham, inspired by outdoor living, greenhouse gardens and a sense of playful whimsy. The palette is warm and optimistic, drawn from blooming gardens, ripening fruit and summer landscapes. Every design is created in Scion’s UK studio, blending archive inspiration with new artwork.

Key Designs

• Pomona Fig: Scion’s first statement mural wallpaper, with oversized fig leaves that turn a whole wall into a greenhouse.
• Hares: an energetic repeat of leaping hares, one of the collection’s new icons.
• On The Vine: fruit-laden greenery that brings an abundant, garden-fresh feel.
• Owl & Butterfly and Ditsy Daisy: florals with playful wildlife details.
• Checks, stripes and geometrics: decorative coordinates designed to layer with the bolder prints.

Hand-painted artwork and specialist printing give the designs depth, movement and the illusion of texture. Every design is planned to work with the others, so patterns and colours can be layered across walls, windows and furniture.

Fabrics, Weaves and Wallpaper

Pomona is offered in three parts in Singapore:

• Pomona fabrics: printed designs for curtains, blinds and cushions.
• Pomona weave fabrics: textured coordinates for upholstery and soft furnishings.
• Pomona wallpaper: pattern and mural wallpapers, including Pomona Fig.

How to Style Pomona

A greenhouse wall

Use the Pomona Fig mural on one wall of a living or dining room for an instant garden view. Add timber, rattan and plenty of real plants, and keep other walls plain so the fig leaves take centre stage. Our botanical styling guide has more ideas.

Playful kids’ rooms

Hares or Owl & Butterfly are natural choices for a child’s bedroom or playroom. Pair a printed curtain with a checked or striped weave on a reading chair or window seat.

Kitchens and breakfast nooks

On The Vine’s fruit-laden greenery suits a breakfast area or banquette. Use the fabric on seat cushions and a Roman blind, and pick up one of its greens in the paintwork.

Layering pattern

Combine one large-scale design, one small-scale print such as Ditsy Daisy and one check or stripe from the collection. Keeping to a shared palette lets the patterns sit happily together.

Using Botanical Wallpaper in Singapore

Botanical and fruit wallpapers suit Singapore’s garden-city setting, bringing a sense of the outdoors into condos and HDB flats. For the best result:

• Choose professional installation on a smooth, dry, well-prepared wall, especially for murals where panels must line up exactly.
• Avoid walls that get direct rain splash or constant damp. For kitchens and bathrooms, ask about more moisture-resistant wallcoverings.
• Measure carefully for murals, as they are sized to the wall.
