The Future of Us’ Exhibition @ Gardens by the Bay, Singapore
Project Overview
“The Future of Us” was a major national exhibition held at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, drawing large numbers of visitors through immersive gallery spaces. Exhibition flooring must handle intense, peaked footfall over the run of the show while installing efficiently and presenting cleanly to a public audience.
For this project, Goodrich Global supplied Goodfloor carpet for the exhibition.
Goodrich Specification
Goodfloor carpet was specified to provide a durable, presentable floor across the exhibition’s gallery spaces. Supplied in tile format, it allowed rapid installation over large areas to suit a fixed build programme, and let individual tiles be replaced quickly if wear or soiling occurred during a high-traffic public run, keeping the galleries looking their best throughout.
The carpet surface also softened footfall noise across crowded galleries and added underfoot comfort for visitors moving slowly through the displays. This helped the experience feel calm and considered rather than echoing and hard, supporting the immersive atmosphere the exhibition set out to create across its sequence of spaces.
Project Outcome
The carpet delivered a hard-wearing, well-finished floor that supported a smooth visitor experience throughout the exhibition, holding its appearance through concentrated daily attendance. The tile system kept the floor easy to maintain over the run, with localised refreshing where needed rather than wholesale replacement.
