Changi Airport Terminal 3
Project Overview
Changi Airport Terminal 3 is one of the principal passenger terminals at Singapore Changi, a world-renowned aviation hub handling very high volumes of international travellers. Interior finishes in such an environment must combine a premium appearance with the durability demanded by round-the-clock public use, since the terminal forms part of many travellers’ first impression of Singapore.
Goodrich Global supplied wallcovering for the project.
Goodrich Specification
Wallcovering was well suited to a major airport terminal because it provides a hard-wearing, scuff-resistant surface that copes with constant passenger contact, luggage knocks and brushing far better than paint, which would scar and require frequent touching up in such an environment. It is also straightforward to clean, an essential quality in a high-hygiene public transport setting where surfaces are wiped down routinely.
Commercial wallcovering offers consistent colour and finish across large wall expanses, helping maintain a uniform, polished look throughout busy circulation and waiting areas. That visual consistency holds up under continuous footfall, keeping extensive walls reading as ordered and well-kept even at peak, while the durable surface keeps maintenance cycles and touch-up costs predictable over the long term. A robust wallcovering also lengthens the interval between refurbishments in spaces that are rarely, if ever, closed for works. Because much of the cleaning and patching can be done in short windows without taking areas out of service, the finish suits a terminal that must keep operating around the clock while still looking its best.
Project Outcome
The wallcovering contributes durable, easily maintained surfaces that keep the terminal looking immaculate under heavy use. Goodrich Global has supplied finishes for major commercial and transport projects in Singapore, with wallcoverings engineered for the toughest high-traffic environments.
