Hospitality
Dusit Laguna, Singapore
Project Overview
Dusit Laguna is part of the Dusit hospitality group’s portfolio in Singapore, with public-area and ballroom specifications consistent with the brand’s premium hospitality positioning. The interior brief for the ballroom and adjacent public areas demanded carpet specification that combined design ambition (the carpet defines the room visually) with the very-high-traffic durability that ballroom-grade public areas require.
Goodrich Global supplied the carpet programme across the ballroom and adjacent public-area circulation.
Goodrich Specification
The carpet specification combined hand-tufted broadloom in the principal ballroom with woven axminster in the adjacent circulation routes — the hybrid pattern Goodrich routinely recommends for hospitality projects of this scale. Hand-tufted delivered the design freedom required for the ballroom’s signature pattern, sculptural pile detail, and extended colour palette. Axminster delivered the very-high-traffic service life the corridors and ballroom approaches needed.
Both constructions were specified with Singapore Green Building Product Certification (SGBC) credentials, supporting the property’s broader sustainability documentation. Yarn was specified as pure new wool for the ballroom application — the appropriate yarn for a hospitality space combining concentrated event traffic with photographic and atmospheric expectations.
Project Outcome
The Dusit Laguna carpet programme is in service across the ballroom and public areas. The project is a working illustration of Goodrich’s hospitality capability across both hand-tufted and woven axminster construction, with hybrid specifications coordinated by a single supply-and-installation chain.
