Tower Club, Singapore
Project Overview
Tower Club is a premier private members’ club occupying a signature location in Singapore’s central business district. The interior brief called for a deliberately distinct atmosphere — refined, residential in scale, recognisably bespoke — that would set the club apart from the corporate hospitality of surrounding tenants. Floor surfaces in the principal member rooms became the foundational design element, carrying the visual identity across dining rooms, lounges, and event spaces.
Goodrich Global was specified to supply the customised carpet programme across the club, working alongside the design team from concept through factory production and on-site installation.
Goodrich Specification
The principal specification was customised hand-tufted broadloom carpet. Hand-tufted construction was the right answer for Tower Club because the design called for sculptural pile detail, an extended palette, and pattern-design freedom that loom-based axminster could not deliver within the same brief. Each carpet was developed at full pattern scale, with yarn dye-lots managed through production to hold colour consistency across the rooms.
The hand-tufted carpets were produced in pure new wool with selected silk highlights — the right yarn specification for a private-club environment with controlled traffic and an emphasis on tactile and visual refinement. Wool brings natural resilience, soil resistance, and a depth of colour synthetics struggle to match, while the silk highlights catch light across the pattern. All Goodrich hand-tufted carpets carry Singapore Green Building Product Certification (SGBC), supporting any future Green Mark or sustainability documentation the club may pursue.
Project Outcome
The Tower Club hand-tufted programme remains in service, supporting the club’s distinct brand atmosphere across multiple rooms.
