Project Overview

This project covered a Hugo Boss Orange store in the China and Hong Kong market, a fashion retail environment for an international apparel label. Brand-led retail interiors rely on distinctive wall finishes that reinforce a label’s identity and frame merchandise with a tailored, contemporary backdrop.

Goodrich Global supplied a custom-made wallcovering from BN, from the Orient collection, for this project.

Goodrich Specification

The specification used an Orient custom-made wallcovering from BN, a bespoke finish tailored to the brand’s retail concept. Custom wallcovering allows the design team to achieve a specific pattern, texture and tone unique to the store, creating a controlled, on-brand surface that withstands the wear of a continuously trafficked boutique.

Producing the wallcovering to order meant the colourway and surface could be calibrated to the store’s lighting and fixtures, while a hard-wearing construction resists the scuffs and handling a shop floor brings. Specifying to order also meant the finish could be matched precisely to the brand’s design intent rather than compromised to suit a standard catalogue product, giving the store a distinctive interior signature that supports its positioning.

Project Outcome

The result is a bespoke, brand-aligned retail interior with a wall finish made specifically for the concept. The custom surface gives the store a unique character that off-the-shelf products could not deliver, while standing up to daily retail use. By translating the brand’s design language directly into the wall finish, the scheme reinforces the label’s identity across every part of the customer journey through the space.
