Thailand Guardian Industries at Emporium Tower FL21
Project Overview
This project is the Thailand Guardian Industries office on level 21 of Emporium Tower in Bangkok, Thailand. Designed by The Matchbox and completed in the first quarter of 2020, the fit-out specified a combined carpet and flooring scheme for a corporate workplace.
Goodrich Global supplied the carpet and flooring for the office, providing two coordinated finishes across the floorplate.
Goodrich Specification
The workplace pairs Goodrich Global carpet with hard flooring to suit the differing demands of each zone. The carpet delivers acoustic comfort and a refined finish in workstation and meeting areas, where its tufted pile absorbs footfall noise and softens reverberation. In an open-plan office, this kind of sound control is central to keeping a busy floor productive, reducing the carry of conversation and equipment hum between teams.
Specifying both materials from one source also kept the palette consistent and simplified coordination on site during the fit-out programme.
The hard flooring defines circulation routes and higher-traffic areas with a dense, wear-resistant surface that cleans easily and copes with Bangkok’s warm, humid climate. Concentrating a robust finish where movement is heaviest protects the appearance of the floor over time and keeps maintenance simple. Combining the two materials allowed the design to zone the floorplate logically, signalling work and movement areas through a clear change in texture and underfoot feel.
Project Outcome
The completed fit-out gives Guardian Industries a comfortable, clearly zoned and durable workplace on its Emporium Tower floor, balancing acoustic performance against everyday resilience. The result is an interior that looks considered and holds up to daily corporate use.
