Goodrich Global Joins CONNECT-X 2026 as Main Partner
Goodrich Global is honoured to participate as the Main Partner of CONNECT-X 2026, bringing the perspective of interior finishes and surface solutions into a wider conversation on sustainable, competitive and future-ready growth in the built environment.
Rethinking Growth Through Better Decisions
As Singapore’s built environment responds to rising sustainability expectations, technological change, commercial pressures and evolving project demands, the conversation around growth is changing.
Today, growth is no longer simply about how much we build. Increasingly, it is about how well our buildings and interior environments perform over time.
This is the conversation at the heart of CONNECT-X 2026, an executive built-environment forum taking place on 14 August 2026 at NTUC Centre, One Marina Boulevard, Singapore. Organised by Quantum APAC and The Future Atlas, the event brings together practitioners and leaders from architecture, design, technology, sustainability and the wider built-environment industry.
Goodrich Global is honoured to participate as the Main Partner of CONNECT-X 2026, bringing the perspective of interior finishes and surface solutions into the broader discussion on sustainable, competitive and future-ready growth.
Goodrich Global Presents: Rethinking Growth
Representing Goodrich Global, Jean Leong, Regional Head of Marketing, Branding & Communications, will present Rethinking Growth: How Interior Surface Solutions are Driving Sustainability, Material Innovation & Performance.
The session explores how interior surface solutions can contribute far beyond aesthetics. From wallcoverings, flooring and carpets to leather, acoustic solutions and digitally printed surfaces, material decisions can influence durability, maintenance, wellbeing, user experience, operational efficiency and lifecycle value.
Better growth starts with better decisions. For architects, interior designers, specifiers, developers and owners, this means thinking more carefully about not only what a material looks like, but also where it is being used, how it will perform, how it will be maintained and what value it will continue to deliver over time.
Five Key Considerations for Smarter Material Selection
The presentation will focus on five considerations shaping material decisions today.
- Lifecycle value — looking beyond upfront cost to durability, maintenance and long-term performance.
- Right material, right application — recognising that different spaces have different performance requirements and should not necessarily be addressed with the same material solution.
- Sustainability that performs — balancing environmental responsibility with aesthetics, durability, indoor wellbeing and commercial realities.
- Material innovation — exploring how technology can be embedded within materials through digital printing, acoustic engineering, advanced fibre technologies, performance finishes and manufacturing innovation.
- Integrated thinking — encouraging architects, interior designers, specifiers, owners and operators to consider interior surfaces together rather than as isolated product categories.
From Material Selection to Better Project Outcomes
Goodrich Global will also share practical examples showing how material selection influences project performance.
In hospitality environments, different zones can require very different carpet constructions. A ballroom may prioritise design impact and customisation, while high-traffic circulation areas may require stronger durability and long-term appearance retention.
In commercial environments, modular carpet tiles can simplify maintenance by allowing damaged or heavily worn tiles to be replaced without replacing an entire floor.
Acoustic materials can do more than solve a functional problem. Acoustic wall panels, ceiling elements and screens can help manage reverberation while becoming part of the overall design language.
Digital printing is also expanding creative possibilities, allowing bespoke scale, imagery, colour and storytelling to be translated into commercially applicable digitally printed wallcoverings. Together, these examples demonstrate how material innovation, sustainability, aesthetics and performance can work together rather than compete with one another.
One Project. Different Decisions. One Experience.
A building or interior project is viewed differently by every member of the project team. The architect considers the wider building objectives; the interior designer focuses on experience and expression; the specifier considers suitability, performance and compliance; and the owner or operator looks at durability, maintenance and long-term commercial value.
Yet the person ultimately using the space does not experience those decisions separately. They experience one environment.
This is why Goodrich Global continues to advocate a more integrated approach to interior surface solutions — bringing wallcoverings, carpets, flooring, fabrics, leather, acoustic solutions and digital surfaces together around the needs of the space and the people who use it.
CONNECT-X 2026: Bringing the Built-Environment Community Together
CONNECT-X 2026 will examine how sustainability, technology, AI, business transformation, competitiveness and project delivery are influencing the built environment.
The programme includes perspectives from City Developments Limited, Boustead Singapore, SPARK Architects, Adapt D&B, BuiltChat and ID Architects, alongside practitioners and specialists from across the industry.
Goodrich Global joins a wider group of industry partners supporting the event:
- Main Partner: Goodrich Global
- Strategic Partners: Sika, Wynist
- Supporting Partners: ARDEX Quicseal, Breezway, Climate Asia, Dow, Hunter Douglas, Leetsteel
Building Better, Not Simply Building More
For Goodrich Global, participating in CONNECT-X 2026 is an opportunity to contribute a material and interior perspective to a much wider industry conversation.
As expectations around sustainability, performance and technology continue to evolve, better buildings will increasingly depend on the quality of the decisions made at every stage of the project.
Rethinking growth is not simply about building more. It is about building better. Every material decision is more than a design decision — it is a business decision.
