Akyra Manor Hotel Chiang Mai
Project Overview
akyra Manor Hotel is a boutique hospitality property in Chiang Mai, Thailand, completed in 2014. As a design-led hotel, its interiors called for a rich, coordinated palette of surfaces and soft furnishings to establish a distinctive guest experience from the lobby through to the rooms.
Goodrich Global supplied the wallcovering, fabric and carpet used across this project.
Goodrich Specification
The specification spanned several material categories. Wallcoverings Widewall Surfaces WS4220 and JJ Symphony Moondance AZ52353MD provided durable, textured wall finishes for guest and public areas, resisting wear while adding tactile depth. A layered fabric palette followed: Opulence GR 1013 FBF-108 Pewter, Naturally Sheers FNSG-115 Bravo Ivory and Westgate Bambu 2-Velvet Bambu-Godiva, bringing depth and tactile warmth through drapery and upholstery, with the sheers diffusing daylight and the velvet adding richness to seating.
A Custom Machine Tufted carpet (Nito 156906) completed the scheme, delivering acoustic comfort and a bespoke floor finish underfoot that ties the rooms together while softening footfall in corridors and guest areas. This multi-product approach let every surface work toward a unified boutique aesthetic, coordinated for tone, texture and durability. Each material was contract-grade, formulated to hold its appearance through continuous occupancy and the warm, humid Chiang Mai climate. Sourcing wall, textile and floor finishes together also kept the palette consistent and simplified coordination across the design.
Project Outcome
The hotel achieved a richly layered, custom-finished interior in which wall, textile and floor finishes reinforce one another to create a singular sense of place that distinguishes the property from larger, more uniform hotels. Goodrich Global supplies coordinated wallcovering, fabric and carpet to boutique hospitality clients across Thailand and the region, managing bespoke specification from a single source.
