Changi Airport T2 VIP Corridor, Singapore

Project Overview

Changi Airport is consistently ranked among the world’s finest, and its Terminal 2 VIP corridor serves dignitaries and premium passengers in a setting where presentation and comfort are paramount. The space demanded a floor finish of distinction, one able to look immaculate while performing under continuous use through every hour of the operating day.

For this project, Goodrich Global supplied Custom Axminster Carpet.

Goodrich Specification

Custom Axminster carpet was specified for a VIP environment that calls for both luxury and resilience. Its dense woven construction provides a refined underfoot experience while standing up to the steady passage of travellers, staff and rolling luggage through the corridor without showing premature wear.

Bespoke Axminster design allowed colour and pattern to be tailored to the airport’s premium identity, and the carpet’s natural acoustic absorption helps maintain the calm, hushed atmosphere expected of a VIP route, softening the sound of footsteps and wheeled luggage. Woven on the loom, the tightly bound pile resists crushing and conceals soiling and traffic marks, supporting the impeccable presentation required of a world-class terminal around the clock. The yarn locked into the weave also retains its colour and definition through repeated cleaning.

Project Outcome

The corridor achieved a sophisticated, hardwearing finish worthy of Changi’s reputation, combining quiet luxury with the durability a transit environment demands. The dense construction resists crushing under near-continuous passage, so the corridor holds its refined appearance around the clock and between maintenance cycles. With acoustic comfort, custom design and woven durability working together, the floor underpins the calm, premium impression a VIP route is expected to deliver to every passenger who uses it.

Goodrich Global has supplied custom Axminster carpet to landmark transport and hospitality projects across Singapore, pairing tailored design with airport-grade durability.
