Singapore Indoor Stadium
Project Overview
The Singapore Indoor Stadium is a major events and entertainment arena hosting concerts, sporting fixtures and large public gatherings. Interior surfaces in such a venue must perform acoustically and stand up to heavy use while contributing to the look of high-profile event spaces.
For this project, Goodrich Global supplied fabric panels for the stadium interior.
Goodrich Specification
Fabric panels were specified to provide both a finished wall surface and acoustic benefit, an important consideration in a large arena where sound management shapes the audience experience. A textile-faced panel absorbs reflected sound that hard surfaces would otherwise return, helping control reverberation in voluminous event spaces and improving speech and music clarity.
Upholstery and panelling fabrics also offer durability and a clean, presentable face suited to a venue that receives constant public traffic and frequent event turnover. The panel format integrates neatly with the architecture, conceals services and substrates, and allows sections to be maintained or refreshed without disrupting the wider interior. The fabric face brings warmth and a considered finish to large wall expanses that would otherwise feel hard and unresolved, while standing up to the brushing and contact of crowds moving through the space. Tackling acoustics through wall panelling complements other measures in a large arena, where managing reflected sound is central to both performance quality and crowd comfort.
Project Outcome
The fabric panels contribute to a more controlled acoustic environment and a polished interior finish across the stadium’s spaces, balancing sound performance with a hard-wearing, presentable surface across heavily used event areas. Goodrich Global supplies fabric and wall-panelling solutions to large-scale public and event venues in Singapore, combining acoustic performance with durability and design.
