Retail
Ikea Store, Mega Bangna, Bangkok
Project Overview
This project was delivered for the IKEA store at Mega Bangna in Bangkok, Thailand, a large-format retail environment completed in February 2016 with IKEA Thailand. A high-traffic retail store of this scale required flooring engineered to withstand intense, continuous footfall while looking the part on the shop floor.
Goodrich Global supplied the laminate flooring used in this project.
Goodrich Specification
The store was floored with Parador Classic 1050 PC1353 (1475582) alongside Pergo laminate. Laminate flooring is a strong fit for busy retail, offering a tough, scratch- and wear-resistant wear layer that mimics natural timber at a practical price point and stands up to heavy customer traffic and trolley movement. Its click-lock installation covers vast showroom areas quickly and allows planks to be lifted and replaced if a section is damaged.
Specifying both Parador and Pergo ranges gave the project access to durable, design-led finishes well matched to a large showroom environment where the floor must perform day after day. The realistic timber decor warms the room-set displays that anchor the IKEA shopping experience, while the hard surface stays easy to sweep and clean across long trading hours. Specifying recognised ranges across so large an area also gives the retailer consistency of colour and finish, and a dependable source for future remedial supply.
Project Outcome
The retail floor delivers the resilience and clean appearance a flagship store demands, holding up under sustained footfall with minimal maintenance and reinforcing the warm, homely showroom atmosphere central to the brand. Goodrich Global supplies durable laminate and hard flooring to retail clients across Thailand and the region, supporting large-format projects with reliable supply at scale.
