Handpainted Wisteria Project, North Jakarta

Project Overview

This project was the Handpainted Wisteria scheme for a residence in North Jakarta, Indonesia. The brief called for a feature wall treatment of artistic quality, bringing a hand-crafted, nature-inspired motif into the home’s interior as a centrepiece of the design.

Goodrich Global supplied its handpainted wallcovering for the project, delivering the bespoke wisteria artwork onto the residence’s walls.

Goodrich Specification

Handpainted wallcovering was specified to achieve a level of artistry that printed finishes cannot replicate. Each panel is painted by hand, producing subtle variation, depth and brushwork that give the wisteria design a genuinely bespoke, gallery-like presence, with trailing blooms composed to flow across the wall rather than repeat as a fixed mechanical pattern. The slight irregularities inherent to hand painting are precisely what lend the work its character and sense of craft.

This made it ideal for a residential interior seeking a singular, statement feature with craftsmanship at its heart. The artwork can be tailored in scale, palette and placement to the room, so the design responds to the architecture rather than being adapted to fit it. It is applied to a quality ground suited to a refined private home, balancing artistic individuality with a practical, lasting wall surface that suits everyday domestic life.

A bespoke commission of this kind also gives the homeowner a piece unique to their residence, impossible to reproduce elsewhere.

Project Outcome

The handpainted wisteria gives the North Jakarta residence a distinctive, artisanal feature that anchors the interior scheme and lends the home a sense of curated luxury. Goodrich Global offers handpainted and bespoke wallcovering to residential and luxury projects across Indonesia and the region.
