Project Overview

NITORI is a well-known home furnishings retailer, and its outlet at The Heeren places the brand on Singapore’s flagship Orchard Road shopping belt. The store interior required a floor finish that could showcase furniture and homeware to advantage while withstanding the heavy visitor traffic an Orchard Road address attracts day in, day out.

For this fit-out, Goodrich Global supplied Custom LVT (Glue Down).

Goodrich Specification

The custom luxury vinyl tile was specified in a glue-down format for its firm, stable installation underfoot, well suited to a busy retail floor with rolling loads and concentrated footfall. The glue-down method delivers a secure bond that resists movement and lifting in a high-use environment, an important consideration where furniture is wheeled and repositioned across the floor throughout the trading day.

LVT offers realistic timber and stone visuals that present home furnishings against a warm, natural backdrop, while its hardwearing wear layer resists scuffing and indentation and remains simple to clean. Bespoke specification let the floor’s colour and pattern align precisely with the retailer’s design intent, so the flooring complements the furniture on display rather than competing with it for attention.

Project Outcome

The store gained a durable, design-led floor that frames its product displays and copes with constant Orchard Road footfall throughout trading hours. The firm glue-down bond holds steady under repeated furniture repositioning, and the resilient surface shrugs off the point loads and drag marks a furnishings showroom routinely encounters as stock is moved and restaged. Its warm, natural visuals also reinforce the homely backdrop that helps shoppers picture furniture in their own space, supporting the retail experience as well as the floor’s technical performance.

Goodrich Global supplies bespoke luxury vinyl flooring to retailers across Singapore, matching aesthetic ambition with commercial-grade performance.
