Project Overview
Shama Hotel is a hospitality property in Thailand, where guest comfort and a resilient interior finish are central to the operator’s brand experience. Hotels of this kind require flooring that performs under continuous footfall while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.

Goodrich Specification
The interior specified Goodrich carpet, chosen for its acoustic comfort, underfoot softness and ability to define hospitality spaces with colour and pattern. In a hotel setting, carpet absorbs ambient noise across corridors and guest areas, dampening the carry of voices and movement to help create the calm, quiet environment guests expect, while standing up to the heavy, around-the-clock traffic typical of a busy property without flattening prematurely.
Carpet also lends a sense of warmth and arrival to guest-facing spaces, softening the look and feel of the interior in a way hard flooring rarely achieves. The construction and fibre were selected to balance this comfort with the stain resistance and durability a working hotel demands, ensuring the floor resists soiling between cleans and maintains its appearance across years of continuous service in a humid tropical climate.
Specifying contract-grade carpet from a deep portfolio also gave the design team scope to match colour and pattern to the property’s brand palette, achieving a coordinated look without compromising on the durability a hotel floor must deliver.
