Project Overview

Solid Idea is a design-led showroom whose interior brand language must evolve as quickly as the brand’s product programming. Showroom retrofits are a natural application for surface-layer refurbishment: the design vocabulary changes between collection launches, but the underlying construction — walls, joinery, lift access — remains sound and does not need rebuilding for each refresh.

Goodrich Global supplied architectural adhesive film and complementary specifications across the showroom.

Goodrich Specification

Architectural adhesive film, Sangetsu REATEC, refreshes joinery, doors, panels, and feature surfaces without demolition. The film’s print quality and embossed-in-register surface texture are convincingly indistinguishable from natural materials at viewing distance, so a timber, stone, or metal effect can be applied directly over existing surfaces and read as the real material. That lets the showroom project a refreshed material palette quickly between brand programme cycles, at a fraction of the cost of replacing solid finishes.

For showroom retrofits, REATEC’s installation rhythm aligns with the cadence brand operations actually need: overnight or weekend application, no demolition waste, and no operational shutdown. The specification supports the design language at the speed of the brand rather than the speed of conventional refurbishment, letting Solid Idea reskin its space around new collections without losing trading time or generating strip-out waste that would slow the programme.

Project Outcome

The Solid Idea showroom film specification is in service across the property, supporting a refresh cycle that keeps pace with the brand. Because the film works as a surface layer over sound construction, each future refresh can target only the surfaces that need it, keeping cost and downtime proportionate to the change rather than the building. The project illustrates Goodrich’s capability to support design-led showroom retrofits with surface-layer specifications that maintain operational continuity.
