Robinsons Store, Singapore

Project Overview

This project covered a Robinsons department store at Raffles City Shopping Centre, a prominent retail location in central Singapore. Department-store interiors must present merchandise attractively while withstanding the wear of constant shopper traffic across long trading hours.

For this project, Goodrich Global supplied Eijffinger wallcovering for the store walls.

Goodrich Specification

Eijffinger wallcovering was specified to bring a refined, design-led finish to the retail walls, supporting the store’s brand presentation and the way products are displayed. A considered backdrop tone lets merchandise read clearly under retail lighting, framing displays without competing with them.

A commercial-grade wallcovering withstands the brushing, knocks and frequent cleaning of a busy shop floor, holding its colour and texture far longer than paint while remaining straightforward to maintain. It also masks minor wall imperfections and tolerates the periodic re-merchandising that department stores undertake, keeping the space looking considered between refits. Eijffinger’s curated palettes and patterns give designers scope to set distinct moods across departments while preserving a coherent store identity, an asset in a venue where different brands and product categories sit side by side. Across a large department store, a durable wall finish also reduces the frequency and cost of redecoration, an important operational benefit for a venue trading every day of the week.

Project Outcome

The finished walls give the store a polished, considered backdrop that enhances the merchandising and the customer experience, balancing brand expression with the resilience a high-footfall retail floor requires over long trading hours. Goodrich Global supplies retail wallcovering to stores and shopping centres across Singapore, drawing on international collections such as Eijffinger to match each brand’s identity.
