Project Overview
INSEAD’s Asia Campus ranks among Singapore’s most internationally recognised tertiary education facilities, serving the school’s MBA and executive education programmes from a building that operates at hospitality-grade specification levels across many of its public areas. Executive education combines teaching-space functionality with residential-grade visitor experience standards, pulling material specifications closer to corporate hospitality than to conventional tertiary education work.

Carpet tile was specified across classroom and study zones for its acoustic absorption, essential to the case-method teaching format where discussion clarity and low background noise matter; for its tactile and visual quality, since executive students arrive with corporate-occupier expectations of their learning environment; and for modular replaceability under concentrated wear. Individual tiles can be lifted and swapped in heavy-traffic lanes and entry points without recarpeting an entire floor, keeping the campus presentable while minimising disruption to scheduled sessions.

Consistent specification across classrooms allowed a coordinated visual scheme to carry through multiple programme zones, reinforcing the school’s design language from one space to the next and giving circulation routes a unified, professional appearance.
Project Outcome
The INSEAD carpet tile programme is in operational service across the campus. The project demonstrates Goodrich’s capability to deliver tertiary education specifications at executive-education quality grade, working within the school’s brand and operational requirements while sustaining appearance and comfort under demanding daily use over a long service life.
