Project Overview

Singapore’s Ministry of Education building serves as the operational headquarters for the country’s education system, housing policy, curriculum, examinations, and operational teams supporting Singapore’s primary, secondary, and tertiary education sectors. Government-sector interiors balance the institutional specification standards expected of public infrastructure with the workplace-experience briefs supporting the staff who deliver public services day to day.

Goodrich Global supplied specifications across designated areas of the MOE building.

Goodrich Specification

The specification covered carpet tile, wallcovering, and complementary surface materials appropriate to a government workplace serving education-policy delivery. Carpet tile supported acoustic comfort across open-plan and meeting-room zones, dampening the noise of a populous floor so teams can concentrate; its modular format also eases ongoing maintenance and the partial replacement of worn tiles without disrupting the wider floor. Wallcovering carried the visual identity language across reception, corridor and meeting-room positions, giving the headquarters a coherent, professional face. Fire compliance, accessibility specifications and Singapore Government IAQ standards apply throughout, and Goodrich’s commercial specification range satisfies these requirements within standard product selection.

The specification additionally aligned with Singapore Government’s broader sustainability commitments under the Green Plan 2030 agenda for the built environment, with SGBC-certified product across the scheme supporting public-sector sustainability documentation and reporting.

Coordinating carpet, wallcovering and complementary surfaces through one specification also helped the project team maintain a consistent material language and a single compliance trail across the building.

Project Outcome

The MOE building specification is in operational service. The project illustrates Goodrich’s capability to support Singapore Government workplace fit-outs with specifications meeting institutional standards, sustainability commitments and the operational experience requirements of staff delivering public services, all coordinated through a single supplier relationship.
