Project Overview
The Civil Service College (CSC) is Singapore’s central training institution for the Civil Service, delivering leadership development, policy training and operational programmes for public service officers across ministries and statutory boards. CSC’s training environments call for collaborative learning specifications, with rooms that support facilitated workshops, group exercises and cross-functional dialogue rather than lecture-format instruction alone.

Goodrich Specification
Walltalker writable wallcovering converts continuous wall surfaces into writable, projectable and magnetic surfaces, supporting the collaborative training format CSC’s programmes use. The specification scales to the room rather than to fixed-board sizes, allowing facilitators to use the full available wall area for design exercises, scenario maps and structured agendas without running out of space mid-session.
The Walltalker specification combines writing functionality through dry-erase markers, projection compatibility, with the surface accepting projected image without specular glare, and magnetic functionality, so post-its, prints and small artefacts can be displayed on the same surface used for writing. The commercial-grade specification handles the daily-use intensity of training environments, wiping clean without ghosting and retaining its finish through repeated marker use across a continuous timetable of sessions.
Project Outcome
The Walltalker installation at the Civil Service College is in operational service across multiple training rooms, giving facilitators expansive, durable working surfaces for active learning. By turning whole walls into shared thinking space, it encourages the open, participative dialogue these programmes are built around and keeps ideas visible to the whole group. The project demonstrates Goodrich’s capability to support government training and learning environments with specifications engineered for collaborative pedagogy.
