Project Overview
The Lotus Hill Yuehai Hotel is a hospitality property near the Lotus Hill scenic area in the Guangzhou region of China. As a resort-style hotel set within a destination known for its landscape, its interiors benefit from distinctive wall treatments that bring artistry and a sense of place to lobbies, suites and feature areas.

Goodrich Specification
The specification featured hand-painted wallcovering, a bespoke decorative finish in which artwork is applied by hand to create unique, large-scale wall scenes. This approach is well suited to hotel feature walls, lobbies and suites, lending an individual, crafted character that mass-produced finishes cannot replicate while elevating the property’s design narrative.
Painted onto grounds such as silk or specialist paper, the artwork carries subtle brushwork and tonal gradation impossible to achieve in print, and panels can be scaled and positioned to suit each wall. Because each panel is produced by hand, the design could be tailored to the hotel’s setting and theme, giving public spaces a memorable focal point and reinforcing the resort’s connection to its scenic surroundings.
Project Outcome
The completed walls deliver a one-of-a-kind, art-led interior statement that distinguishes the hotel from standard hospitality interiors.
