Project Overview

The Gateway Hotel sits within the Harbour City complex in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, a premium hospitality address serving both business and leisure travellers. As a contemporary city hotel in one of the territory’s busiest retail and waterfront districts, its interiors are required to project a polished, design-led sense of place across guest rooms, corridors and public areas. Surrounded by high-end retail and constant footfall, the property leans on its interior finishes to establish a distinct, upscale identity.

Goodrich Global supplied wallcovering from the Elitis range for this project.

Goodrich Specification

The specification drew on Elitis wallcovering, a collection recognised for its tactile finishes, refined textures and distinctive surface character. In a high-traffic hotel environment, a wallcovering that combines visual depth with everyday durability allows feature walls and corridors to carry the property’s design language while standing up to the demands of constant guest movement.

Elitis surfaces add warmth and individuality to interiors, helping designers move beyond plain finishes to create spaces with a considered, boutique feel that suits an upscale Hong Kong address. The robust, wipe-clean construction also resists scuffing in busy circulation areas and supports the routine cleaning a city hotel requires.

Project Outcome

The result is a set of interiors with consistent, premium wall surfaces that reinforce the hotel’s positioning and elevate the guest experience. By marrying expressive surface character with practical durability, the wallcovering helps the property sustain its boutique impression under heavy daily use. Goodrich Global’s experience supplying hospitality wallcoverings across Hong Kong and Greater China allows designers to specify expressive, hard-wearing surfaces with confidence in both availability and ongoing service.
