Thomson Medical is one of Singapore’s established private healthcare providers, with services spanning maternity, women’s health, paediatrics and specialist clinical care. Healthcare interiors at Thomson Medical’s facilities operate at the intersection of clinical-grade specification (antimicrobial, slip-resistant, fire-rated) and patient-and-family experience (warmth, calm and brand-aligned visual language).

Goodrich Specification
Healthcare-grade vinyl flooring with antimicrobial and antifungal coating was specified across Thomson Medical’s clinical and circulation areas. Products in this category, including Armstrong Medintech Plus and equivalent specifications in the Goodrich range, combine Diamond 10 antimicrobial coating, chemical resistance and colour fastness with the slip-resistance ratings clinical wet zones require. Seamless welded installation leaves no joints for moisture or contaminants to penetrate, supporting the rigorous cleaning and infection-control regimes a healthcare environment depends on.
The flooring specification was coordinated with broader interior elements, including wall protection where required and clinical-grade wallcovering, to deliver an integrated hygiene system across the patient-care zones rather than a set of disconnected products. SGBC certification supports the property’s broader sustainability documentation, while the warm finishes help temper the clinical character of the spaces for patients and their families.
By drawing flooring, wall protection and wallcovering from a single supplier, the project also kept its hygiene strategy consistent across surfaces, an important advantage in clinical settings where every junction and material transition is scrutinised for cleanability and infection control.
Project Outcome
The Thomson Medical flooring specification is in operational service.
