These are the different functionalities and options available

Fixed Curtains
Straignt
The rail can be fixed to a ceiling or wall with the possibility of joining various curtains. Volume can also be created by joining curtains at different angles.

Curved
The rail for curved curtains allows for adapting the curtains to the desired radius, creating all types of curves.

Undulated
The curvature of the rail allows for creation of sinuous and wavy lines of different sizes.

Moveable Curtains
Chain Drapery
Creates curtains that can be opened and closed. The chain is fastened to a flexible textile strip and slides along the rail. Movement can be manual or motorised. Once opened, the curtains can stay straight or wavy. The system also allows for creation of circular areas using curved rails.

Sliding Panel
A system of panels that move parallel and independently. The aluminium rail and the runners are specially designed for smooth movement. It is possible to make a range of independent panel configurations, being able to pull them open to one side or equally at both ends.

Ceiling
The Ceiling Drapery system u KriskaDECOR® to decorate ceilings, giving them special textures and finishes.

“WAVE” OPTION
Create waves on ceilings of any width or any height. The horizontal waves can be combined with vertical curtains to cover the walls.

“PARALLEL” OPTION
By installing parallel rails can create ceiling volume. The rails can be straight, wavy or curved, and different figures.

“RAIN” OPTION
A modular system that allows for creation of a “rain” effect from the ceiling. Formed from individual grid shaped modules it can cover any surface regardless of its dimensions.

Cladding
Elaboration of façades and coverings for buildings, for interior and exterior, according to project requirements. Any image or design can be reproduced. The chains reduce the entrance of sunlight but they allow vision and ventilation. Moreover, the material is light and easy to install.

Lightning
The illumination of the aluminium chains creates spectacular effects, broadening the decorative possibilities.

Test the bounderies of your imagination with the potentials of Kriska Décor metallic chains.

Follow these tips to make your bathroom look like a striking water sanctuary befitting of a king!

Here are seven things and areas in your bathroom that you’re cleaning incorrectly!
1. Turn Up The Heat
Heating your tub, sink, and tiles just 10 degrees above normal air temperature can double the effectiveness of alkaline cleansers. Fill your tub or sink with the hottest water you can run from the tap and let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing these areas clean.

2. Less Elbow Grease

Don’t waste any energy scrubbing a shower curtain liner. Throw it into the washing machine with a couple of towels, a cup of vinegar, and run for about five minutes. Let the towels and curtain soak in the water for an hour before turning the machine back on to finish the cycle. Hang to dry and you’re done with minimum sweat!

3. Clean Smart

Meet your new best friend – the microfibre cloth. These cloths are composed of ultrafine synthetic fibres woven together to create a static charge that attracts dirt and dust, so you can tackle dusting without using sprays. Best of all, you can wash and reuse them so the environment will thank you, too. Traditional cloths have plenty of lint which makes cleaning a hassle especially on glass surfaces.

4. Check the Bristles!
A recent study from the University of Manchester found that the average toothbrush contained about 10 million germs, including harmful E. coli. It is important to rinse your toothbrush well after each use and occasionally soak it in a cup of vinegar for about 30 minutes to take care of any leftover bacteria. Replace your toothbrush every three months—but save the old one; you can use it to clean hard-to-reach places or tight spots around the house.

5. Vacuum First

Think your vacuum is only for the carpet? Before cleaning your tile floors, vacuum or sweep to remove loose dirt and debris, then wash with a cleaning solution. It’ll save you time in the long run instead of scrubbing a filthy, dusty floor.

6. Look What’s Behind!
It is way too easy for urine and fecal matter to build up behind the WC (water closet), leaving an icky residue that’s hard to clean. Roll up a few disposable paper towels, dip them in antibacterial cleaner, and, while facing the throne, “floss” the back of the toilet. Let it sit for a few minutes and then “floss” again with a dry paper towel to finish the job.

7. Check The Hairbrush
Like sponges or carpets, hairbrushes trap unwanted dust, dirt, oils, and old hair products. Each time you brush with a dirty hairbrush, you re-deposit all the dust, dirt, and oils back into your mane! Remove all hair caught in the bristles. Mix a solution of 1 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of shampoo, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda, then apply to the bristles and baste the mixture gently with an old toothbrush. Now your hair will thank you a million times!

Fabric: Art, NappaTile, Concertex, Goodrich

Written by Bapsy Rozario on . Posted in Fabrics for curtains, draperies, bedcovers, cushion covers & etc, Press, Press Releases

27th September 2016

Concertex’s NappaTile introduces the Art Collection. Incorporating padded and unpadded faux leather tiles with no repeat, beautiful gradients and mosaics can be created to fit any wall space with custom sizes. The combination of padded and unpadded tiles create a sense of depth other tiles cannot do while keeping a sense of warmth and luxury. Whereas hard ceramic, porcelain, stone tiles are normally used in the kitchen and bathrooms, NappaTile can be used as headboards and in living areas. The padded tiles are hand-wrapped with soft cushion which contribute to sound absorption.

Designers can provide the exact tile sizes needed so there would be limited cutting and work done in the field. They can also choose from over thousands of different faux leathers and faux suedes to create their own custom design. Tiles can be made in any size from 2”x2” to 42”x42” in ¼” increments, so a 17.25”x24.5” tile can be made if that is what the wall fits!

All the faux leathers used pass specs for high traffic, heavy duty upholstery use. Certain ones are graffiti-free which are ink/stain resistant, pass over 100,000 double rubs and is bleach cleanable which is much beyond the performance for high performance wallcoverings.

The collection can be used as an accent wall, art piece or wall mosaic. Tiles come pre-backed with 3M peel & stick adhesive for quick and easy permanent installation.

The Art collection is applicable to hospitality, commercial, healthcare and residential sectors.

Wallcoverings matching fabrics in your room

Written by Bapsy Rozario on . Posted in News, Press, Press Releases, Wallcoverings & Wallcovering Painting

26th September 2016

Wallcoverings have become ubiquitous items when decorating a home. Walls that are adorned with wallcoverings would be treated as a feature piece in a room, so it’s important to pay attention to the fabrics (i.e. cushions, drapes, upholstery, if any) incorporated as well.

Wallcoverings are a unique and wonderful way to dress up a room and add character. The right kind of wallcovering will actually enhance the look of the space and even elevate some of the objects and furniture in the room. With thousands of choices to pamper customers, how does one go about selecting the right wallcovering? Tip 1, always identify the theme of your room – is it modern, classical, hipster, industrial? Tip 2, what is your colour palette that you have an affinity for? Tip 3, your existing fabric found on cushions and drapes, you have to take into account how the wallcovering matches it. One of the easiest ways to match wallcovering with existing fabric in the room is to find a wallcovering style similar to your fabric. If you have stripes on your cushions, it would be good to pick a wallcovering that has similar style. This will extend visual cohesion in the room while creating a harmonious space. Your wallcoverings can also echo the colour palate of your fabric. Suppose you cushions are teal and turquoise, so it would be good to pick a wallcovering that mirrors these colours. Even complimentary colours can work well – think yellow cushions matching a cool grey wallcovering. You can also pick a wallcovering that sports a damask pattern which mirrors the same one found on your cushions.

Even wallcoverings with textures can match or even elevate the fabric found on cushions and drapes, such as a wallcovering with dimples matching your sofa’s chesterfield buttons. Another good rule to take into account: well-selected wallcoverings should bring more attention to the eye while matching or emphasising the room’s colourful decor (i.e. furniture). For example, plum coloured polka dots that match the plum-coloured upholstery of your armchair.

Even contrasting colours can work well – purple and yellow go together as a great combo; while Kelly green and pink adds panache and punch. Even nature-inspired wallcovering that depict leaves or palm fronds are a great way to pair with existing items in the room such as a green rug or an accent chair in green. But the most important rule to follow is what speaks to your heart and reflects your personality, taste and lifestyle. Home decorating should be a fun and creative process that does not thwart your style!

Whatever style or combo you choose, make sure you have fun during the process. Fresh colours can brighten or enlarge a compact room and make it feel large, open and cosy. But bear in mind that for smaller rooms, if you want to choose a bold pattern, you might want to be judicious about it.
