The Chika collection of fabrics is a fusion of Japanese-euro-skandi design styles and influences. Chika offers fresh and versatile combinations for modern interiors, whilst retaining a relaxed feel, perfect for family homes.
The collection include ten printed cotton fabrics.
Samaya is an abstract painting of an oriental orchid. This watercolour floral print is available in four soft colourways and is suitable for curtains and upholstery.
Batik Garden – Inspired by Japanese earthenware pottery, this tonal design was created using a manual wax-resist dyeing technique reminiscent of traditional batiks. It is available in three colourways and is suitable for curtains.
Wisteria Blossom – This stylised version of Wisteria Blossom has been spontaneously painted with a loose, impressionistic style. It is suitable for upholstery and curtains and is available in four fresh colourways: linden/charcoal, berry/plum, aqua/lime and silver/apple.
Calico Birds – This monochromatic bird and foliage design was created using the resist technique and was inspired by leatherwork documents from the Sanderson archive. With its all-over coverage, it is a very versatile design that can be combined with other patterns and plains alike. It is suitable for curtains and upholstery and comes in three colourways.
Arberella is a trail of stylised Japanese flowers, created through sponged stencil work. It is available in four colourways and is suitable for upholstery and curtains.
Fretwork – This versatile geometric tile design was created using lino-cut and finished with a stippling effect. It is available in six colourways that work throughout the whole collection and is suitable for curtains and upholstery.
Willow Tree is a modern interpretation of a willow pattern toile. The simplicity of the design gives it a tranquil feel. Printed on crisp cotton, it is suitable for curtains and is available in three colourways.
Dawn Chorus is a simple silhouette design, depicting finches perched on branches. It was created by first stencilling and then sponging to soften the effect. It is available in two colourways and is suitable for both upholstery and curtains.
Washi – This adaptable, textured semi-plain was created using a resist dye technique. It is suitable for upholstery and curtains and comes in four organic colourways: slate, mineral blue, olive and linen.
Tatami Stripe– This modern, two-tone horizontal stripe takes its inspiration from Japanese ‘Tatami’ mats. It is available in three colourways and is suitable for both upholstery and curtains.
Available in varying width sizes of 138cm, 140cm, 139cm, 137cm and 141cm.
